Exams & X-Rays

Routine dental exams are a big part of maintaining a healthy smile. At  Elite dental, we offer comprehensive dental exams for the entire family as part of our preventative dentistry program. At each exam, we check for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, oral cancer, and other potential problems that require treatment. X-rays of your mouth may also be taken during your dental exam. We provide  digital x-rays that immediately produce a digital image that can be viewed during your visit on our computer screens in each operatory.eratory.

Cleanings & Fillings

Dental cleanings involve removing plaque (soft, sticky, bacteria infested film) and tartar (calculus) deposits that have built up on the teeth over time. The purpose of the cleaning and polishing is basically to leave the surfaces of the teeth clean and smooth so that bacteria are unable to stick to them and you have a better chance of keeping the teeth clean and healthy.

Sealant

A dental sealant  is a plastic coating that is placed on the teeth to form a protective barrier that prevents cavities and decay.  Dental sealants are most commonly recommended for children; however, some adults may benefit from this preventative measure as well.

Teeth Whitening

Undergoing a professional teeth whitening procedure is becoming an increasingly popular way for people to bolster their self-confidence and reverse years of gradual staining of the teeth due to aging, eating certain foods, or using tobacco. Discolored teeth can make a person self-conscious about his or her smile, but at Elite Dental, we want all patients to look their best and feel confident around friends, relatives, coworkers, and neighbors. We use the powerful Zoom!® teeth whitening system to provide  our patients with outstanding results.

Bonding

Bonding is a composite resin filling placed in the back teeth as well as the front teeth. Composites are the solution for restoring decayed teeth, making cosmetic improvements and even changing the color of your teeth or the reshaping of teeth. Bonding will lighten any stains you may have, close up minor gaps and can be used to correct crooked teeth. Basically, bonding will cover any natural flaws applying a thin coating of a plastic material on the front surface of your teeth. After this, your cosmetic dentist will apply a bonding material and sculpt, color and shape it to provide a pleasing result. A high-intensity light then hardens the plastic, and the surface is finely polished.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are custom fitted over your natural teeth and  an excellent way for patients to repair chipped, broken, or severely discolored teeth, as well as minor misalignments and gaps.  We can change the shape, color and length of your teeth.

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns and bridge are used when too much tooth structure has been lost and the tooth itself needs reinforcement (protection) to restore form, function and appearance. A bridge is several crowns joined together to replace a missing tooth where the teeth adjacent to the space would benefit by the protection of crownsDentureMissing teeth can cause aesthetic and functional problems. Dentures can be a way to improve a person’s appearance and their ability to eat and speak more comfortably.

Adult & Children Orthodontic Service

Orthodontic treatment is a viable option for children and adult.  It is well recognized that when left untreated, many orthodontic problems may become worse.  When you have a malocclusion (“bad bite”), your teeth may be crowded, excessively spaced or may not fit together correctly.  Such conditions may lead to dental health problems.  Crowded teeth are hard to clean and, given time, may contribute to tooth decay, gum disease and even tooth loss.  Bad bites can also result in abnormal wearing of tooth surfaces, difficulty chewing and damage to supporting bone and gum tissue.  Poorly aligned teeth can contribute to pain in the jaw joints.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are fused to a patient’s jaw and to which porcelain replacement teeth are attached. Unlike other tooth replacement options, such as dentures and dental bridges, dental implants are permanently attached to the jaw, providing unsurpassed stability and support for permanent replacement teeth.  This characteristic means that patients who have dental implants are no longer troubled by ill-fitting dentures, messy adhesives, or costly replacement bridgework; and are not affected by periodontal disease

Nitrous Sedation Available

If you are someone who fears going to the dentist, then nitrous sedation might be something that can help you transition from that fear that keeps you from getting regular dental care. Nitrous oxide is mixed with oxygen in a safe combination so that you can relax during your dental procedures. Nitrous oxide is a gas that you inhale through a nose-piece while routine dental procedures are performed. It has no lasting effects when you stop inhaling the gas and usually takes about 10 minutes of breathing regular oxygen and air to get back to your normal daily routine. Couple this with your favorite music while listening to your ipod and you will find an effective way to get relaxing dentistry done.
